Reaux Featured Speaker at FEMA Floodplains Regulations Workshop
Raymond Reaux, P.E., Vice President of Fenstermaker's Engineering Division, was a featured speaker at LOGA's (Louisiana Oil & Gas Association) FEMA Floodplains Regulations Workshop held on Wednesday, January 21, 2009 at the Crowne Plaza in Baton Rouge. The purpose of this program was to provide a forum for discussion of floodplain issues affecting the oil & gas industy. LOGA assembled a panel of floodplain experts to discuss topics that affect oil & gas interests in the State of Louisiana and outlined the latest FEMA permit requirements for exploration. Mr. Reaux was joined by a panel of experts on the topic including Cindy O'Neal, State Coordinator for the Louisiana National Flood Insurance Program, Bonnie Anderson, CFM, Chairperson of the Louisiana Floodplain Management Association, Butch Ford, P.E., Bossier Parish Flood Plain Manager, and David Hiegel, CFM, Natural Hazards Program Specialist, FEMA-Region VI.
