Jared Normand Earns Professional Land Surveyor License

Jared Normand, a Survey Technician for Fenstermaker’s Lafayette Office since 2013, has passed the required exams to become a Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) for the State of Louisiana. Mr. Normand graduated in 2009 from Louisiana State University (LSU) with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree. Then in 2011, Mr. Normand began to pursue a career in land surveying by enrolling at South Louisiana Community College (SLCC).With graduation in sight, Mr. Normand gained experience by working for a couple of different surveyors. Joining the Fenstermaker team just 3 years ago, Mr. Normand now specializes in unitization surveys, ALTA surveys, and drilling location surveys. Working on various other oil & gas and commercial projects rounded out Mr. Normand’s training and education to meet the standards of the Louisiana Professional Engineering & Land Surveying Board (LAPELS) to become a PLS.
Now that Mr. Normand has accomplished his goal of becoming a PLS, he plans to continue his personal and professional development by providing and participating in a new generation of land surveyors. Mr. Normand stated, “There has been and will always be a need for geomatics and real property subdivision and development as domestic life and industry grows. I intend to share my gifts for that continuation.”
