What does this job entail?

The Environmental Specialist will conduct site assessments, provide the necessary information and support to produce exceptional reports, and assist with environmental permitting for clients. The Environmental Specialist will be a champion and leader of our company core values, while maintaining internal and external customer engagement and satisfaction.

Some responsibilities include:

• Preparing requisite reports and associated maps
• Conducting wetland delineations and T&E habitat assessments
• Developing and managing of stormwater pollution prevention plans
• Providing environmental and regulatory guidance on federal (USACE), state, and municipal laws to ensure compliance
• Supporting team members with project permitting at the federal, state, and local levels
• Performing limited soil sampling

Am I qualified for this position?

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university with a major in Environmental Science or related field
• Minimum three (3) years of directly related industry experience
• Knowledge in plant identification
• Familiarity with Section 404 of the Clean Water Act
• Previous experience in wetland delineations, identification of hydric soils and plant species, and proficiency in ArcGIS suite
• Ability to travel; may require some overnight stays
