The Pipeline Project Manager is responsible for administering surveying activities which include oversight of manpower, technical resources, and client communication for multiple pipeline projects.

Additional duties include:

  • Identifies pipeline business opportunities.
  • Defines and plans projects accurately within the budget and scope guidelines.
  • Builds project teams, coordinates and monitors work involved with the tasks.
  • Assures the scope of work is carried out in accordance with terms of agreement, corporate culture and integrated business model.
  • Plays a key role in business development, including pre-proposal contacts, proposal preparation and presentations, client maintenance and support for the firm’s public relations program.
  • Coordinates work between office staff, Field Survey Personnel, and other required professionals, it ensure accurate, thorough correct work and continuous communication on all project stakeholders.
  • Provides progress and status reports on project deliverables to all project client and management team.
  • Prepares and executes quality control reviews, safety and quality assurance procedures.
  • Effectively conveys our Integrated Business Model in both written and verbal business development discussions.
  • Continually seeks opportunities to increase client satisfaction and deepen client relationships.

Qualifications

Education

Associates degree or equivalent coursework in survey related field, drafting and design related field or technical training

Experience

5 years’ experience in Pipeline Construction Surveying

Skills

Additional requirements:

  • Candidate must be proficient in AutoCAD, and GIS. Ability to relate to clients and people at all levels of the organization.
  • Must possess excellent communication, diplomacy and listening skills; specifically, be accessible and responsive to the needs of clients.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret drawings and the most complex documents. Ability to operate computer, using technical software and other applications, spreadsheets, and other business software.
  • Must possess experience with design in regards to pipeline routing and constructability.
  • Must possess experience with regards to managing survey assets during preliminary pipeline survey and pipeline construction.
