Prior to joining Fenstermaker, Dan spent his 39+ year career in the electric and gas utility industry, with CenterPoint Energy and its predecessor companies, based in Houston, Texas. His most recent position there included Director of Energy Efficiency & Business Development. In this role, Dan led a 25-person team to drive increased earnings through the successful implementation of the Houston Electric Energy Efficiency Programs, Economic Development activities, and the Transportation Electrification initiatives, resulting in over $15M in annual incremental Operating Income growth. Before that, he served as the Director of Marketing Strategy. In this role, Dan created and led the centralized marketing organization that provided enterprise-wide marketing strategy, market research, data analytics, and product development services to the electric, gas and Home Services businesses. As Manager of Marketing and Employee Communications, Dan oversaw all aspects of internal communications. He created and built a common corporate culture by developing, designing, and executing employee communication messages, strategies, plans, and tools throughout the corporate enterprise.
Dan and his wife Lynn enjoy spending time in the Texas Hill Country where they hike, sightsee and frequent the local music venues. They are also avid sports fans, particularly supporting the Houston Texans, Astros and Texas A&M Aggies. They have three children and four grandchildren and enjoy every minute they can spend with them. They reside in Meadows Place, Texas, in the Greater Houston area.
