With over 30 years of experience as an environmental and civil engineering consultant to both public and private sector clients, Rob Leslie is an effective engineering manager with an extensive skill set in hydrology and hydraulics, engineering design, infrastructure assessment, environmental regulatory compliance, aquatic chemistry, FEMA Hazard Mitigation Grant Program (HMGP), and FEMA National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP).
Robert also has extensive experience in engineering design, construction management, and tort litigation support. He speaks, reads, and writes fluently in both English and Spanish, and knows enough Russian to be dangerous. He is also a private pilot (single-engine, land) and is currently licensed to practice engineering in four states, including Louisiana. A well-traveled gent, Robert’s project experience includes design and assessment projects in Mexico, Malaysia, Haiti, and Puerto Rico.
Robert earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from the University of Texas at Arlington in 1989 and his Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from Tulane University in 1991. He now brings his diverse and advanced skill set to the Water Resources team and will base out of the Baton Rouge office.
Rob enjoys time with his fiancee, his two children, their spouses, and his granddaughter. He is, unfortunately, victim to the Caligulan whims of his cat, who lets him out of the house regularly to go to work and occasionally to fly airplanes so he can fool himself into thinking that he is the master of the house.
Robert also served as Assistant Adjunct Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Louisiana State University.
