Colten Dore, P.E., provides a tour of the First Solar Water Treatment Plant in Iberia Parish
Designed and delivered on an accelerated timeline, the new Iberia Parish Water Treatment Plant was engineered to perform at scale—treating millions of gallons of water each day through a network of
‣ high-capacity filtration,
‣ precision chemical feed, and
‣ automated control systems.
Drawing from the Chicot Aquifer, the facility supplies the clean, reliable water essential to First Solar’s $1.1B manufacturing facility—one of Louisiana’s largest clean energy investments.
In this clip, Fenstermaker Engineer Colten Dore, P.E. walks us through the process:
‣ from the 450-foot-deep source wells,
‣ to the filtration sequence,
‣ to the powerhouse of pumps that move treated water across the site.
Delivered through close collaboration between Iberia Parish Waterworks District No. 3, First Solar, and Fenstermaker, in partnership with Southern Constructors, this project reflects what’s possible when engineering and execution move with shared purpose.
🎥 Watch as Colten takes us behind the scenes of a system built to sustain industrial growth and strengthen the region’s infrastructure for decades to come.
