Total roadway reconstruction
Overhauling an industrial corridor
St. Martin Parish is advancing a critical upgrade along Petroleum Parkway—
a span supporting
nearly 50 industrial businesses.
The work underway is a complete rebuild, correcting the underlying issues that have challenged this stretch for years.
Today, we join Engineer Josh Laborde, P.E., on site as crews carry out critical construction activities, including:
‣ Removing existing asphalt and preparing the roadway for Portland cement concrete pavement
‣ Regrading roadside ditches to reestablish consistent flow
‣ Replacing mis-sized pipes and correcting skewed inverts
‣ Installing new culverts and reconstructing concrete driveways along the route
‣ Setting major drainage structures using survey-verified elevations
These improvements:
‣ strengthen pavement durability,
‣ reduce future maintenance, and
‣ significantly improve stormwater conveyance—
critical for a heavily traveled industrial route in South Louisiana’s flat terrain.
For projects like this, accuracy beneath the surface matters. Every elevation, slope, and tie-in influences performance across the entire corridor. By correcting foundational deficiencies and rebuilding the roadway in concrete, the parish secures a long-lasting, high-performing infrastructure asset for its community and industry.
Fenstermaker is proud to support St. Martin Parish Government in delivering safer, stronger, more resilient infrastructure for the community.
