Brooke Newlin

Brooke Newlin, P.E., CFM

Engineer

Ms. Newlin received her Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering in 2018 from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and joined the Fenstermaker engineering team later that year. She would go on to become a Certified Floodplain Manager in 2021 and a registered Professional Engineer in 2023.

Ms. Newlin has focused her technical career in the field of water resources, specializing in numerical modeling and floodplain management. Her responsibilities include hydrologic and hydraulic modeling and analysis, floodplain mapping, analyzing drainage projects, performing benefit-cost analyses, website development and public outreach. She has successfully managed multimillion-dollar projects focused on watershed modeling and analysis.

Brooke is happily engaged to Trevor Michel and they have one child together, Oliver. She enjoys spending time with friends and family, traveling, watching sports, and being outdoors.
