Dax Douet, P.E.

Market Leader, Government

Dax Douet serves as Market Leader for Government at C. H. Fenstermaker & Associates, L.L.C., bringing nearly three decades of experience in civil engineering, project management, corporate management, budgeting, and planning. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering in 1997 and obtained his Professional Engineer license in 2002.

Throughout his career, Dax has worked on a wide range of engineering projects, including roadway design, drainage systems, freeway interchanges, modern roundabouts, coastal salinity control structures, construction engineering and administration, sports park planning and design, and commercial and residential developments. His drainage experience includes open-channel and subsurface systems as well as large-scale one- and two-dimensional numerical modeling for coastal environments. He has also worked with alternative project delivery methods, including Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) and design-build.

From 2012 to 2014, Dax served as City Engineer for the City of Youngsville, Louisiana, where he gained extensive experience in the planning, funding, design, and construction of public works projects. Throughout his career, he has worked with numerous government agencies and public-sector clients, including the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development, Louisiana Department of Natural Resources, Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority, National Marine Fisheries Service, and municipalities and parishes across Louisiana.

As Market Leader of Government, Dax draws on his engineering, project delivery, and public-sector experience to support Fenstermaker’s work with government clients while continuing to provide senior-level guidance and mentorship to engineering teams across the firm.

Personal Life

Mr. Douet has been happily married since 1998 to Tiffany Cooley Douet and they have three children: Abigail, Anna Grace, and Ridge. Mr. Douet has been a longtime active member of St. Pius X Catholic Church for 26 years where he served on both the church council and building committee. Mr. Douet was also a past member of the Knights of Columbus and is a current member of Regnum Christi.
