Gary O’Neal began his Emergency Management career in a volunteer capacity for the Governor’s Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness (GOHSEP) over a decade ago. After several years of providing Technical Assistance to municipal grant applicants throughout the State of Louisiana with GOHSEP, he pivoted to providing communities with consulting, grant writing and grant management services across the entire spectrum of hazard mitigation funding solutions in the private sector.
Gary loves to travel both stateside and abroad—Mexico, the Caribbean, and most recently, South America (Costa Rica). He enjoys biking and exercising outdoors along with saltwater fishing. Gary likes reading a mixture of fiction and non-fiction. He’s a die-hard LSU fan, and last but certainly not least, he is a proud owner of a Teacup Chihuahua named Ella Sue.
