Marking the start of a project years in the making—one

‣ born from necessity,

‣ shaped through thoughtful design, and now

‣ moving into construction.

We joined Mayor-President Monique Blanco Boulet, State Senator Brach Myers, State Representative Troy Hebert, and Parish Councilman John Guilbeau to commemorate this groundbreaking and recognize the collaboration that brought this investment forward.

Progress at this scale doesn’t happen in isolation; it relies on

‣ disciplined planning,

‣ aligned funding and advocacy, and

‣ leaders committed to strengthening a growing part of Lafayette.

This upgrade includes:

1️⃣ New multi-lane roundabout

2️⃣ Full roadway and base reconstruction

3️⃣ Concrete + asphalt surfacing

4️⃣ Mill and overlay along E. Broussard Road

5️⃣ New concrete sidewalks

6️⃣ Open-ditch and subsurface drainage upgrades

7️⃣ Waterline relocation and utility adjustments

The improvements are designed to:

✅ Reduce conflict points and support smoother circulation

✅ Promote more predictable travel patterns

✅ Prepare the corridor for continued growth
