This week marked the groundbreaking of Hangar Drive Extension – Phase I, a project that will strengthen the connection between the Iberia Parish Airport and the region’s ground transportation network.

Phase I Highlights

‣ Two-lane asphalt roadway corridor
‣ Engineered roadway embankment
‣ Soil-cement stabilized subgrade
‣ 72-inch reinforced concrete trunk drainage line
‣ Cross-culvert drainage infrastructure
‣ Open-ditch stormwater conveyance system

What begins as a roadway becomes something larger.
It signals to manufacturers, logistics companies, and emerging industries that Iberia Parish is investing in the infrastructure needed for growth.
